No I know they ain't playing tonight on the field, but off the field, I think the Mariners won 3-0
Mark Bridges v John Aloisi.
Which club got the better deal?
The Mariners may have trumped the big city side once again.
First they nicked Peter Turnbull, then they nicked northern Sydney, they nicked Sasho Petrovski, now they've nicked top spot and John Aloisi.
When will this pesky little coastal club start behaving themselves?
I know Sydney have a marquee, was there any coincidence that Juninho's contract was being discussed in the last couple of weeks.
Get rid of Juninho, gain a marquee Aloisi, it could have made sense.
Great signing for The Mariners, and Michael Bridge is being talked up already.
Surprise!
Either way both signings are good news at this stage of the season. With the Roar and Adelaide on fire, Ahmed Elrich to get fitter and Melbourne creating havoc, there is heaps to talk about..and that's just off the field.
Couldn't be better.
